Talking with character of the picture. Background and space.

Things that surround you should not distract, interfere, interrupt. The rest of the space - it's just the background. And the background brings the most important things to the forefront. Such things for the sake of which you show yourself. That is why it is most often an open and empty space. It goes somewhere beyond the frame of the painting - the infinite and free space of the imagination, indicated only by the color and the light. Sometimes it is water - the sea, or waves - the same endless and free element. But this element has its own character, which only emphasizes the brightness of your experiences. Or it's in contrasts with the peace of your mind. It carries you far to the edge of the world or forces you to act. Even less often this is some architecture, which is also in contrast with your condition. Frozen old stones are the background for interweaving of your violent emotions, your impulse and your flight. Perhaps they were once destroyed by the same outbursts of feelings. It is still difficult consider nature as the background, it is alive, it intervenes and adds its own shades and conditions. After all, you are the nature as well, a marvelous flower in this garden, a plexus of feelings, actions, hopes, desires and motives.
